Petra tells: "In about half of my assignments, the client often serves as a model for the work. There are so many reasons why a personal sculpture is requested. Some women have breast cancer, and they want to immortalize their body before the mastectomy. There are women and men who want to end a period in their lives, or celebrate it, by having a sculpture made of themselves. Sometimes modelling almost has a therapeutic effect: it is the ultimate acceptance of one's own body. 'Find your inner Aphrodite', I say.

Everyone is beautiful in their own way, and beauty does not lie in perfection, but precisely in the imperfection that sets us apart as people. Accept that and yourself literally. I will happily create your personal sculpture if you ask me to. Together, we will design your artwork; after that, we can start directly with the creation of the mold. Depending on the chosen composition and material, a complete session (from design to creation) will generally take 2 to 5 hours.

To tell your personal story and to create a beautifully unique and exclusive work of art, you sometimes need to push your own limits. I have to apply material directly to your skin. It is important that you feel comfortable with your own body. We will discuss your wishes in advance, and I will always try to bring out the best in you. It is a special process to search for your own beauty and an honor for me to immortalize it. A personal sculpture is by no means the same as a smaller and non-detailed 3D-printed model. The amount of artistry, labor and pure love and craftsmanship is not comparable. For that reason, I will never surrender to this modern technology (as sculpting artworks) and see myself as a strong ambassador of the old classical techniques I use to sculpt the body. It is my honor to create sculptures that last a lifetime because they are created with pure passion and love in my atelier.
